Although there is no 109, the symbol of Shibuya, the area is lined with western clothing stores and other stores.
At right is 109 under construction; the movie sign in the back was released in December 1977.
The building must have been reconstructed, but the plot of land has not changed much, perhaps because it has not changed. The “green house” on the left side of the old photo was later moved to its current location at 109.
The buildings and stores are different, but similar.
The window shape of the building on the left has not changed. The curry store “Murgi” that goes inside is still in business today.
The entrance to Shibuya Center Street. The gate has been rebuilt, but still warmly welcomes people.
Signs of the past are more assertive.
The Tokyu Department Store in the back is gone, and a blue sky can be seen.
Utagawa Street. It is strange to think that the river used to flow here before land reclamation.
The building itself has been reconstructed, but only the sign indicating “PARCO” remains intact.
Every single sign board is different, but the crowding of stores remains the same.
